For many years, I worked in Japanese media in Los Angeles, where I had the privilege of meeting representatives from small and mid-sized Japanese companies eager to bring their products to the U.S. market. I admired their dedication—but time and again, I saw their US branch offices close within just a few years. Each farewell email was a quiet heartbreak.
These experiences stayed with me. And when I left the media world and began working in sake promotion, I brought that perspective with me. I knew that success in this market required more than just a good product—it required the right local support, insight, and connection.
With no background in the sake industry, I started from scratch. Thanks to the generosity of brewers, distributors, restaurateurs, and retailers, I learned. I listened. And I built relationships grounded in trust, curiosity, and mutual respect.
Today, HANBAI Solutions is proud to support a growing network of sake breweries, shochu makers, Japanese whisky brands, and food producers.
We connect them with enthusiastic U.S. audiences—at tasting events, on store shelves, in restaurant menus, and beyond. Hearing someone say "This is delicious!" is our greatest motivation.
